A creative project
Heart strings...tugged! Two of my favorite things are motherhood sessions and anything involving water. After a long busy season I was feeling burned out and uninspired and needed to photograph something for myself. Planning a session to refresh and spark my creativity always leaves me with a photographer high like no other. Fortunately for me, my sweet sister is always on board with my big ideas so we loaded up and made a trip to one of my very favorite places in Arkansas. Going into the session I had visions of what I wanted to create. Some I was able to capture, but as you know with babies, we are really just living life on their schedule! Lol! This little doll niece of mine LOVES the water as much as her Aunt Lovey and wanted nothing more than to be splashing around in the chilly water of the Caddo River. She would crawl into the water completely fearless until she was almost too deep, we would fish her out, and she would go right back in for more. Her wild spirit attracted an audience as she sat in her mom's lap reaching down into the bottom of the river bed, face turned to the side, almost completely submerged with her tiny fingers grabbing pebbles while giggling and kicking her feet in delight as she pulled one to the surface, over and over. It was such a great day for so many reasons. I'm convinced that the little moments in our day to day lives will be the ones we cling to tightest as our fondest memories one day and capturing life as it unfolds will always far exceed the visions I have in my head.
